Vidalia, GA. – Dot Foods Inc. driver Jose Santana won first place in the 2nd Annual Jeff Powell Classic Driver Roadeo on Saturday, May 9. Held at the Southeastern Technical College CDL road course at 1400 Harris Industrial Blvd. in Vidalia, the event included 30 competitors from Dot’s Vidalia distribution center.

The Driver Roadeo tests the drivers on a 15-minute course, cheered on by their friends and family. Santana, the first place winner, received a trophy, a stainless steel gas grill, two tickets to the Coke Zero 400 in Daytona, Fla., and a $100 gas card. Charles Edwards was the second place winner, and Jim Sharpton came in third. Dot cooked hamburgers and hot dogs all morning and offered door prizes for spectators, which also included students from Southeastern Tech’s Commercial Driver’s License program.
