Day on the Hill participants were treated to a breakfast on May 17 in the U.S. Capitol building, followed by a presentation by Rep. C.L. Otter (R-1st-ID). Rep. Otter shared his 30-year experiences as a corporate executive with international food manufacturer The J.R. Simplot Company, producer of McDonald’s French fries. He said that many of the challenges his company faced in the 70’s and 80’s are similar to the obstacles the convenience industry faces today.
