American Wholesale Marketers Association New 2007 Chairman Jode Bunce of Eby-Brown Company
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA The American Wholesale Marketers Association (AWMA) announces that the 2007 AWMA Chairman is Jode Bunce, Executive Vice President, Cigarettes, of Eby-Brown Company, Naperville, Illinois. "Jode Bunce brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position and will be a strong champion for all of our wholesale distributor members," said AWMA President and CEO Scott Ramminger. "He knows this industry from the inside out and understands the crucial issues facing our members."
Mr. Bunce has over 22 years of experience in the distribution industry having joined Eby-Brown Company in 1984. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, he began his career with Eby-Brown Company in a sales training program and, in 1988, received the Salesperson of the Year Award. In 1989, he became Vice President of Sales, Ohio. By 1990, he moved on to become Vice President of Operations for the Ypsilanti Distribution Center in Michigan. Mr. Bunce assumed his current position in 1992 as Vice President of Merchandising, Cigarettes and, in 2005, was promoted to Executive Vice President, Cigarettes.
Mr. Bunce and his wife, Gloria, reside in Aurora, Illinois, with their daughter Alexandria and their son Jacob.
Mr. Bunce will deliver the opening address at AWMAs REAL DEAL EXPO, the Associations annual convention, being held February 21-23, 2007 at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. The REAL DEAL EXPO is one of the countrys oldest and largest shows for warehouse distributed snacks, candy, tobacco, grocery, foodservice, general merchandise, health and beauty care items, technology products and more.
