Canadian-based convenience store operator Alimentation Couche-Tard has announced an agreement through its subsidiary, Mac’s Convenience Stores, to buy 83 c-stores in the St. Louis, Missouri area and central Illinois area from Spirit Energy LLC, operator of the Convenient Food Mart.  Under the agreement, sixty-nine of the 83 stores will be operated by the Circle K Midwest Division under the Circle K banner with the Shell brand.

Following the transaction, Couche-Tard’s Circle K Midwest Division will include 424 company-operated stores, according to Darrell Davis, Midwest Division Vice President of Operations.
